Linux User Group ANcona
A Linux User Group (LUG) is a social group formed by people who uphold the principles of Free Software and are committed to spreading the use of operating systems based on the Linux kernel.
Advocacy and education: we actively promote the diffusion and evangelism of Linux and Free Software, fostering essential digital culture within our community and beyond.
R&D: we engage in research and develop new open source projects designed to provide robust solutions to real-world, often complex, problems.
Collaborative contribution: we actively support the global ecosystem by contributing to existing open source projects via pull requests (PRs), bug fixes, and documentation improvements.
Social impact and volunteerism: we dedicate our technical skills to philanthropic initiatives, believing that a keyboard is often the most powerful tool for helping others and addressing societal challenges.
Physical node: we are based in Ancona, hosted by UNIVPM (UniversitĆ Politecnica delle Marche). This is where we meet face-to-face to hack and learn.
Daily stream: for quick messages, questions, and day-to-day chat, we use Telegram and Discord (JOIN_US.md).
The Core: GitHub is our true headquarters. It is where we manage projects and where decisions are made. If itās not on GitHub, it didnāt happen.
