We, as members and contributors of LUGAN, pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone.
Since we operate with an academic and research-oriented mindset, we value intellectual honesty, curiosity, and collaboration. We are here to learn, build, and solve problems together.
We pledge to welcome people regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Using welcoming and inclusive language. We are a mix of students, professionals, and enthusiasts; kindness is our default setting.
Being respectful of differing viewpoints. In research and coding, disagreement is natural. Challenge the code or the idea, never the person.
Gracefully accepting constructive criticism. Code reviews and PR feedback are opportunities to grow, not personal attacks.
Focusing on what is best for the community. We prioritize collective goals and open source principles over personal ego.
Showing empathy. Support others in their learning journey.
The use of sexualized language or imagery and unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
Trolling, insulting/derogatory comments, and personal or political attacks.
Public or private harassment.
Publishing others’ private information (doxxing) without explicit permission.
Intellectual dishonesty: plagiarism or claiming credit for work that isn’t yours.
This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces, both physical and digital, and also applies when an individual is representing the community in public spaces.
